Dacapo (« we ») is a piano-learning app for adults, published by Djivann Ostrowska (France). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights. We only collect what we need to run the service.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Djivann Ostrowska. For any question or request, contact contact@dacapomusic.app.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your first name if you provide it.
- Onboarding answers: level, goals, available time, equipment, so we can build your plan.
- Practice data: sessions, progress, streaks, quiz and flashcard results, generated on your device and in your account.
- Payment: managed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- AI Teacher: the questions and any files you send are processed to generate an answer.
- Technical: standard logs (e.g. IP, browser) needed to operate and secure the app.
Why (legal basis)
To provide the service and your account (contract), to improve and secure the app (legitimate interest), to process payments (contract), and to send the daily reminder only if you enabled it (consent).
Who processes your data
We use trusted providers acting on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (the AI Teacher), and Vercel (hosting). We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is active. Delete your account from Settings (or by emailing us) and your personal data is removed, except what the law requires us to keep (e.g. billing records).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to certain uses. Email contact@dacapomusic.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language. No advertising cookies.
